I am so happy to be a part of King George Middle School! Over the years I have developed many relationships with KGMS staff, which has made my transition very smooth, and am now building relationships with our students to help with their success. It is extremely exciting to be a part of all the wonderful things happening here at KGMS!

I am originally from Vinton County, Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English from Ohio University. I moved to Fredericksburg, Virginia in 2005 and earned a Master of Education degree from the University of Mary Washington in 2010. In May 2016, I earned an Education Specialist degree and a Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Liberty University. I am currently a doctoral candidate at LU and hope to complete this degree in 2019.

I spent my first three years in Virginia working in a private school, where I taught students in grades 2-12. In 2008, I began teaching special education at Massaponax High School. In 2013, I had the opportunity to join King George County Schools as the Secondary Program Specialist, which allowed me to work closely with KGMS and KGHS special education staff and students. Although I truly loved my role as Secondary Program Specialist, I was given an opportunity to become the assistant principal at Potomac Elementary School. During the summer of 2018, I had a chance to join the KGMS family and, although I hated to leave PES, I am excited to work with Mrs. Collins, Mr. Bryant, and the KGMS staff and students during this exciting time of expansion!

When I’m not working, I enjoy watching Ohio State football (Go Bucks!) and volunteering at the local animal shelter with my wife.

I am so happy to be a part of the KGMS family and truly love working with our students and families as students learn to be responsible, accountable, productive, and present!
